Babies Day Out to Genting

It has been almost a year ago since we visited genting highlands. The kids were very excited.

hmm...what am i really thinking now? i really wish tat...
1. i can ride the best roller coaster in town and scream on top of my lungs..
2. i can shop freely one day without worried bout credit card bill later by the end of the month..
3. i can eat as much as i can on my favourite food and dont have to worried bout the weight increase
4. i can learn how to swim without any phobias
5. i can sleep 24 hours at least for 1 day without the kids around
6. i can stand front line in a best selling concert and enjoy the environment
7. i can speed in the highway without worried bout traffic summons
8. i can buy the best clothes and toys for the kids without looking at the price tag
9. i can have a bigger bed so tat the kids can be on my bed while watching horror movie

but then to think of again... i would rather control myself rather then to turn myself into a daydreamer and poor person...:) i really started to miss all the enjoyment and its only a wish list....:):)
but wat i really wish the most is tat everyone is healthy especially hubby...;)

2011 resolution

Just a few more days left before the year 2010 comes to an end. Looking back on those days, I remember :
1) sis in law gave me an iPhone... In which I was hoping to have 1 ...:)
2) dad n mum visited me in tampin much often than usual :)
3) first Lim family oversea trip to singapore ... we do enjoy it very much...
4) meng wai n mei mei excel in their exam
5) no case or visit from the income tax dept ...:)
6) much awaited iPad from hubby's as birthday present...:)
7) jail breaking my iPad...can't wait to do it .. Thanks to bro in law ..:) so excited
For those miserable and sad incidents, I will definitely treat it as the obstacle of life...

For year 2011, new resolution has to be made :
1) need to reduce my weight... - even though it's rather impossible but I will try
2) hoping not to get pregnant this year ... - 3 is good enough to make me busy the whole year
3) less disagreement with hubby and hoping for more compromising relationship with him...
4) in work - hoping hard tat the goverment dept especially the land office and income tax officers will not visit me this year...
5) more family gatherings...2 weddings for next year..:) will be meeting the whole clan..
6) hoping to get windfalls as the kids school fees is really killing me...:)

Finally I do hope that 2011 will be better than 2010..:p

october is practically an exam month for the kids...

mw: mummy, you can throw away all my books already....(packing out all his books from the bag, leaving only his pencil box and colour pencils)
me : dont you need a lil revision before your exam?
mw: noneed....i already know everything...

firstly,
1. meng wai - he is 5 this year and he is very good ( extremely good) in iphone games...sometimes its difficult to bet his record...his chinese vocabulary is expanding as well...i guess i need to scout for digital chinese dictionary to figure out the wordings....its getting more and more tough to teach him chinese these days....and he loves to disturb his siblings...very cheeky boy...love him more and more each day...

2. lyn yee - she is going to be 4 next month. a very fussy girl that loves to complain on her elder brother. besides she loves to nag...even hubby cant stand it sometimes...keke pity her future bf...every morning, she will need a confirmation by either me or hubby that its a school day...i guess she prefer holiday compare to school....her handwriting is much much better than her brother and sometimes i really feel that she is a perfectionist...and she loves to cry..:) adore her more and more each day...

3. meng keat - he is 1 this year...just started walking last month and walk non stop...loves to venture every section of the house...prefer his sister compare to his brother and i wonder why...loves to eat and a very curious boy....cant sleep without his pacifier and his smelly blanket...really glad that he can sleep in between both of his elder siblings ....really wish the time can pass slowly as i really miss his baby year...he always acknowledge himself as bb....guess he is still a bb for me...:) plannning to send him to school this month but hubby said its too early...but will send him to school this year as the maid is going back next year.. ..

my 3 lil babies...:) should be 4...my civic too...:) just complete my car loan settlement and now i am totally debts free...yahoooo...finally can have some savings now......hmm..should i start another car loan...as the latest car's designs are really very cool and tempting.....ooh gosh...wat to do nowww....???

Cameron Trip.

Went back to ipoh last friday for my monthly balik kampung routine. on saturday we went to penang to visit my maternal grandma and to have dinner with wei..on sunday, we waited for sis in law to arrive to proceed our journey to cameron highlands...

while waiting for them, mei mei posing and mw is exercising...

today at 3.30pm, mw's teacher called....

teacher : mw mummy...
me : yessss.....(started to get worried)
teacher : i have something to tell you about mw....
me : mw? hmm... is he having fever or is he hitting other kids..?
teacher : kekek ..nooo noo..

hmm...if non of those...then i am more relief....nothing seems to be more serious that fever or hitting other kids right???

me : hmmm...then wat bout mw?
teacher : this morning... one of his classmate accidentally poke mw's eye with the book...
me : book ? which part?
teacher : i think should be the corner of the book...
me : then is he crying ?
teacher : no...we didnt realise it at first....he close his eyes most of the time...so we thought mw is
tired..so we ask him to take a nap..
me : oohhhhhh like tat..then is he in pain...
teacher : i think so...but he doesnt wan to tell us more....i think u should come and have a look...

oohhhh...noooooo....immediately i went to fetch mw in school....he crys when he sees me....oohh god....his left eye is abit swolen and i started to panic...
so without much delay we took mw to pantai eye specialist to have a look....

doc diagnose :

there is a scratch in his cornea..its deep..but do not require any stitches...let it heal byitself...have to be careful on the wound...it might get infected....need to go back to the doc for monitoring tomorrow....

Penjom Gold Mine, Kuala Lipis Pahang

A technical Tour to Penjom Gold mine was organized by the Malaysia Quarry Association. Hubby, Sis in law, bro in law and myself registered in this techical tour to widen our knowledge in mining.

A brief introduction on the Penjom Gold Mine. The Penjom Gold mine is the largest gold mine in malaysia commissioning since 1996. It is owned by a british company,the Avocet mining PLC.

Our Agenda that day was :

7.30 am : started our journey from Tampin to Kuala Lipis via the truck route.

11.00 am : reach Penjom Gold mine after 3 hours 30 mins of carride.

At the Gold Mine :

a brief introduction on the quarry by their representative.

Tight Security on accessing the Gold Mine.

a very impressive Quarry phase.

Step no 1 : blast the rocks and transport it to the crusher.

This plant cost about 100 million USD.... wow...so expensive...

STEP 2 : The blasted rocks will be transported to this crusher to crush them to smaller size.

Step 3 : the smaller size aggregates will be added with chemicals in this section to separate the gold component with others.

Step 4 : the moment we have been waiting for...the gold room...nyekk..nyekk..nyekk...

g inthe gold room, a final steps in retrieving the gold. forgot what is this called.

seeee...the gold!!!! gold!!!!

this little tiny gold weight 2 grams...toobad we have to return back to them as we need to go through the metal sensor onthe exit of the gold room...haii..wasted...wasted....

It is almost 1 month for not updating post on this blog. Thanks to the visit from income tax department's officers...that makes me busy for almost 1 month. well, we start from the month of July.

Kit's 21st bday. Unable to celebrate with him on this special day coz my lil bro is such a busy busy man..any how manage to cut a fast bday cake that day....

TT is 3 months old now...a lil updates on him..as mama wans to know his progress...

Car Lifts...

All of us are familiar with passenger lift that moves people between floors in a building. What about car lift that moves car between floors in a building. ??

Hubby took me to Plaza GM in KL just to experience the car lift.hmmm....is Malaysia getting more and more advance or I am getting more and more out dated.

i am waiting anxious and very excited for my first car lift ride. Waiting for the green light. The door will opens once the light turns green.

Yeahhh...finally , in the lift....note the instructions there....kekekek...first timer..have to follow the instructions mar.....

My first car lift experience. will get the kids to try it next time.

MW is now 4 years old...the cheeky four....it also means 4 years of motherhood to me. well, kids nowadays are very very lucky. i remember when iwas young, i never have a birthday party in school before, never get to choose my choice of cake and never had a chance to give all my classmates presents....kekekek....that is why i want my kids to live up my dreams when i was young....

Genting and KL Trip

Genting Genting.. here i comeee...uncle lim..i pray i pray you yaaa...make sure u po pi po pi me to win win some pocket money har......

how i wish that.....

with 3 lil kids around...going to casino is only a wish...anyway.....back to my trip...

We went to genting with 2nd sis in law's family a week after my confinement. hmmm...a celebration on my freedom or a torture for me to look after the 3 kids...well....

the minimal height for the indoor games is 90cm...my myyy......princess mm is more that 90cm already...wow time flies so fast...even notti mw is now 1 meter tall....hahaha...

Life is getting tougher and tougher as the age is getting older and older. Career and family...which one to choose... I realize that we cant excel in both...either career or family.. one thing for sure...i am really exhausted trying very hard to cope up with both of them.

People used to tell me..,kids and babies light up our life and bring happiness to the family. No doubt that they are right...sometimes. But most of the time, life is full of frustration, anger, dissappointment and sadness.

Bosses demanding work to be done urgently, kids demanding for attention, baby demanding for time...i felt very exhausted trying to rush from one point to another. Whenever i try to put a little more attention on work , i do feel that i neglected the family. When i do spend more time with the family, i do feel that i dont pay attention to my work. Work crisis and family crisis happens every day and really add more colour to my exhausted life. Life is full of ups and downs and i do believe that i am really on my downs ...i think the only thing i really need now ....is a good shoulder to lean on , a pair of ears to listen and a pair of hands to guide me out from this darkness...

tough...tough...tough....

hmm...am i getting post pregnancy depression?...hmm...need to check with the doc soon as i am getting insomnia now....worried worried...

Finally, TT is now 1 month old. This is also the moment of freedom for me after 1 month of boring confinement at home. The ceremony of confinement starts early morning...

Finally TT has his name registered today. He is called Gan Meng Keat. We prefer to call him TT for the time being. TT is going to have his full moon ( 1 month old) prayers this thursday and full moon party this saturday. He is now weight 5kgs....a good progress huh....

Finish watching The Little Nyonya drama 2 days ago. I am very impress with the story line and kinda addicted to it. That is why i highly recommend this drama to those drama lovers. Even though this drama is in Mandarin, but it does have English Subtitle for those non chinese ed. I even watch till 2am everynight...

The story begins from the 1930s, spanning over 70 years till modern day.

Juxiang is born into a big Peranakan family where her mum is a mistress. She is gentle, beautiful and a fantastic cook. Born deaf-mute, she is ostracized by people. Right before the Japanese Occupation in Singapore, she is forced to marry a rich Peranakan as a mistress. Juxiang resists the marriage and runs away from home. She then meets a young Japanese photographerand after many obstacles, they finally get married and Juxiang gives birth to a daughter Yue Niang. During the World War, Juxiang is tortured and both her husband and her dies leaving behind their 8-year-old daughter.
Yue Niang is passed around families and eventually ends up at her grandfather's house. Under the supervision of her grandmother, Yue Niang learns to cook Peranakan dishes and sewing. She grows up looking exactly like her mother and is exceptionally beautiful. After the war, her maternal relatives who ran away to England to seek refuge during wartime return home. Yue Niang's pretty looks incurs jealousy from her cousin and attracted many rich Peranakans to chase after her. However, she only has eyes for penniless driver Chen Xi.
Chen Xi actually comes from an educated and wealthy family. He hides his identity to be with Yue Niang. Yue Niang's kindness, pureness and persistence move Chen Xi and he loves her deeply too. Unfortunately, their relationship is filled with many obstacles and difficulties. Under pressure from his family, Chen Xi is forced to marry Yue Niang's cousin instead. Yue Niang is then sold to a butcher, Liu Yi Dao.
Yue Niang is unwilling to accept the fact that her life is always manipulated by others and decides to end her own life. No fancy restaurants, no shopping spree, as i am confined at home for 1 month. However, first of all i wanna wish all mothers a very happy mothers day. i would like to wish a very happy mothers day and appreciation to these 2 special mum.....

first of all, i wanna wish mum a very happy mothers day and sorry for unable to celebrate with her this special occassion. mum came all the way from ipoh to tampin to look after the kids for me while i went for ceaserean with a peaceful mind that the kids are in good hands.

Secondly to my wonderful mother in law. she took all the trouble to cook for me during my stay in hospital and look after my daughter. i really appreciates it. she even look after the bb for me before the arrival of the confinement lady. thank you very much.

Today the doctor confirmed that MW was infected by the Hand Foot and Mouth Disease. The worst part is that there is no medication for it. Thank god his fever has subside but there is another major problem...the ulser on his throat is getting bigger day by day which makes feeding a major difficulty for him.

Hope that he will recover by wednesday coz i will be having my ceaserean section that day.

Really worried bout him...and of course my lil princess as well. Hope that she is not being infected by her brother.

IMPORTANT :Women's Rights 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

I was talking with a lawyer friend of mine.
We were discussing the law and women's rights.
She told me about this incident

a young girl was raped by a man posing as a plain clothes officer; he asked her to come to the police station when she and her male friend didn't have a driver's license to show.

He sent the boy off to get his license and asked the girl to accompany him to the police station. Took her instead to an isolated area where the horrendous crime was committed.

In fact, the law clearly states that between 6 pm and 6 am, a woman has the right to REFUSE to go to the Police Station, even if an arrest warrant has been issued against her...

It is a procedural issue that a woman can be arrested between 6 pm and 6 am, ONLY if she is arrested by a woman officer and taken to an ALL WOMEN police station. And if she is arrested by a male officer, it has to be proven that a woman officer was on duty at the time of arrest.

It is good for us to know our rights. To what extent it comes of use remains to be seen in any situation. But as they say, knowledge is power. Just thought I'd share this with you. I did not know this and am sure lot of us will not know this- please be informed..... And pass on this info to whom all you know.......

Hilltop Restaurant

We went to Penang last weekend for Ching Ming, chinese All souls Day. This is the first time hubby, MW and MM attended ching ming in Penang. Unfortunately, we were very very late that day. As most of the prayers are conducted early morning, we were only managed to reach Penang during noon. However, we were able to attend the family mini gathering. Uncles and Aunties recommended the hilltop restaurant located nearby grandma house, a thai restaurant for our dinner. As they insisted that we went to the special restaurant around 6pm, i really wonder why.... once we arrived, only i realise that the restaurant does have a very beautiful garden.

Disney On Ice....

Went to see Disney on ice at Bukit Jalil unexpectedly last sunday. Fortunately, we managed to get the tickets for the show last minute. Too bad we have to get an additional ticket for MW as he is four now and required a seat for the show...

Everyone starts to cheer when mickey and minnie appeared at the opening of the show

First Princess : Princess Jasmine and Alladin. Too bad MW and MM show no reaction during the appearance on jasmine, alladdin and the famous blue genie...coz they do not know who are they yet..

However, they were very excited on the followng princess show..snow white and the seven drawfs...heigh hoooo heigh hoooo.........it was their favourite song....

Third Princess : Belle and the beast...and lumier the candle man....kekeke...be our guest, be our guest ...was the theme song for beauty and the beast that day.

Fourth princess : ariel , the little mermaid. they were performing Under the sea sang by sebastian the crab..

Ursula was putting up an agreement with ariel by taking her voice in exchange for the legs ariel wanted.

Fifth Princess : Mulan...teaching the kids some self defence...the scene was taken from mulan 2...

sixth princess : aurora the sleeping beauty and her prince...

And finally the seventh princess : Cinderella...MM's favourite...

Went back to ipoh last weekend . I felt really homesick coz the last time i went back was during Chinese New Year. Ate alot of Ipoh delicacy and mum's cooking as well. Well, i think the next time i will be back in ipoh is after my confinement...huuuhhhuuu its going to be along long time....
however on our way back to tampin, we stop by KL to attend chen chin's wedding in bukit Jalil. Chen chin was my coursemate during my foundation years 10 years back in MMU. Time really flies. Met alot of my unimates as well as my Ex housemate, Teck Fang...

Everyone was so shock to see the changes in me..kekeke mum of 2 going to be 3 whereas most of them are still single.... felt really happy to meet them back after 10 years ago...alot of catching up to do....
Me and my ex housemate , Teck Fang....she was also known as the big sister in our house during our foundation year 10 years ago.. Really miss her alot..the last time i met her was last year during jay chou concert. Surprise to see her at the wedding dinner...

Yesterday , baby ow join our family circle at 4 morning. The kids, hubby and mother in law decided to go to singapore to pay sis in law and baby a visit...unfortunately i have to stay in tampin reluctantly due to some work commitment. however hubby took some pictures of cute baby ow.

The kids were very happy that morning due to :

- no need to go to school

- can go visit their cousins joyce and her newborn brother

MW and Joyce were very attached to each other due to their age compared to other cousins.

Clumsy MM hurt herself again....no more pretty girl anymore...looks more like charlie chaplin..kekeke

the kids enjoy themselves very much...with their cartoon character candy..kekek

Man kneels in public for wife's forgiveness...

Received an email from a friend that i would like to share with all of you.

PETALING JAYA: "As a man, I can give up my honour, dignity, and even the route for retreat. I'm kneeling down here, so that all the women of this country will recognise me and they will not accept me in the future. Only by doing this, my wife will have greater confidence in me!"
( hmmm...i thought if you are a married man , you are suppose to be loyal to your wife right?? )

Kelvin Ng, 30, a car battery salesman and housing broker from Ampang, claimed that he had six extramarital relations in the past five years.
( One extramarital relationship is bad enough and sufficient enough to damage a marriage but he has six in the past 5 years?? His wife must be very broken hearted for having him as a husband)

Ng, brought along a banner with him, kneeled down at the bustling SS2 junction under the hot sun Tuesday (24 Feb) to seek for forgiveness from his wife, and to repent of his violence against his wife.
( a waste of time for recovering action after all the damages he has done, correct or not?)

Many passers were curious and some even stopped by to find out what was happening. Some people
thought he should not be forgiven for seeking for forgiveness only after he has done wrong. Meanwhile, some women were deeply touched by his act and some guys shared their wife taming methods with him, causing a sudden disturbance here.
( will you be touched if your hubby kneel down in the public asking for forgiveness after what he has done to you?..nahhh..i dont think so...)

Some enthusiastic passers immediately helped Ng to call and persuade wife, hoping that she could forgive Wu. As the afternoon was very hot, the public advised Ng to dispel the idea 20 minutes later.
(even if he kneel down the whole week or during rainy days, i still think that his wife will not forgive him...)

Its tough to be a mum...

Life never been easy to me since the birth of MW followed by MM. My mom always tell me that being a mum needs alot of patience, dedication , self sacrifices and of course hardwork to educate our kids to be a better person in future. " yes mum, i know i know ..please stop nagging at me" was my answer to her everytime she try to advice me on motherhood. Little do i realise the hardship and the sacrifices she made to raise us up when we were young. For example, no more sunday as sleeping day for me, no more hobbies for me to venture, no more peaceful shopping, etccc....mummies out there will surely know wat am i talking about. Everyday i have to go through the emotional roller coaster...happy, sad, angry, and excited.

Every morning i have to scream my lungs out to wake my 2 lil sleeping beauties to prepare them to school. " faster laaa....faster laaaa" are my only words every morning to rush them to the bathroom, to dress them up in their uniforms and of course to rush them to finish up their bottle of milk...

MW is the slowest among us and he really triggers my temper every morning...

Sometimes when the kids are happy, i am happy too...but they need a little supervision from us, the adults to prevent them from fighting each other.

Sometimes the kids will put on some silly acts to cheer us up. For example, the kids are imitating the lion dance troope during chinese new year. The kids also tend to cheer me up when i have a bad day at work. Hence sometimes i am glad to have them around.

besides of the happy moments, the kids never fail to give me some practice on my anger management. MW is very naughty and he loves to disturb MM most of the time. MM on the other hand is too sensitive. She will cry even when MW label her as naughty girl...therefore, who is the guilty one???Instead of punishing MW, i will definately punish both of them for being so noisy...kekeke...a fair judge yeahhh...

Sometimes i do feel impress by their milestone achievement. By the age of 3 1/2 years old, MW really know how to write A to E and just merely 2 years and 3 months, MM knows how to colour her books and identify the aphabet A and B...Due to my lack of time to teach them, i have no choice but the send them to the nursery nearby. Sometimes i do really impress by the vocabulary MW is using and how MM learned from her brother....wow....

Therefore, the conclusion here is that sometimes its good to have them around but sometimes they really try to test our limits of patience....being a mum is never easy when u have to juggle between career and motherhood....:)

Received an interesting mail from a friend regarding feet.i never know that our feet can tell alot bout us ... just like the lines on our hands.

Third Trimester...March busy busy busy

Tomorrow marks the first day of my 3rd trimester pregnancy. 3 more months to go...As i try to finish all my works before i go for my maternity leave, alot of unexpected surprises occur on my workplace that added to my workload such as :

one of father in law's companies is being chosen by the income tax department for audit. they required us to prepare 5 years of records...wow...and they only give us 2 weeks to do so...
Need to do some proper account adjustments for audit by the end of march...

besides, i am also busy trying to prepare all necessary preparation to welcome another member to my lil circle...by...:

Scouting for new baby stroller...need to scout for the right stroller for both MM and BB. so the right choice is to scout for the twin stroller for both of them.
shopping for new bb's necessity such as clothes, pampers..etc...by going to warehouse sales for good bargains due to this economy downturn...

As for the kids, :

need to prepare them mentally and physically for the new sibling's arrival
need to buy them new toys as a present for them on the day of the bb's arrival. this is suggested by sis in law in order to reduce the sibling's rival and jealously especially for MM.

so many things to do in such a short period of time. I do need to finish everything stated above hopefully by this March as i am getting bigger and heavier day by day.

ohh my... i do really feel so huge and heavy...even MW commented that i really looks bigger than his dad...he even said that i looks like the aphabet B....wat a comment....

CNY 2009

ON THE 1ST DAY OF CNY :

Celebrated the first day at hubby's place. We woke up very early that day as father in law informed us that the lion dance troope will be arriving at 9am.

Everyone was very excited that day...

Especially MW and MM...

We invited some of our friends and their kids to enjoy the performance...

During night time, we went to hubby friend's open house. A lil gathering among his friends...

ON THE 2ND DAY OF CNY :

We went back to Penang to Ah mah lil cosy house at balik pulau. We started our journey from Tampin at 9am and arrived at Penang at 3pm due to the massive jam at the Penang Bridge.

During night time, its the fire crackers time....MM was enjoying herself ...

The oldest and the youngest in the family having a great time together. Ah mah volunteeringly helped me to looked after the kids while we went out to the town for supper...

ON THE 3RD DAY OF CNY :

We woke up early today to go to downtown to purchase some of the penang famous delicacy. W even went to the famous sisters char koay teow at georgetown for our brunch.

RM5 for a plate of char koay teow....just like KL standard...however this makes us more curious on the taste of it ....

Look at the crowded tiny shop...everyone just like us were waiting for the famous char koay teow..

After waited for almost 1 hour 30 minutes , finally we got our lunch...however we were kinda dissappointed as it doesnt really taste that good compared to the carcoal char koay teow in balik pulau...we do feel that this sisters char koay teow was really over priced.

After our bunch, we went back to balik pulau to fetch the rest of the members to Ah yee's house.

MW and MM were playing with their lil uncle....after visiting ah yee, we went back to ipoh. We reached Ipoh abit late due to the massive jam at the North South Highway...Luckily Mum didnt vomit during the journey...keep up the good job mum....i think you survive the journey to phuket 5 months from now ..kekeke

Back in ipoh, our alpha male, Wei waited anxiously for our arrival. He called more than 5 times to mum and dad wanting to know what time we arrived. i guess he miss us very much..keke..this year is abit special because he prepared our dinner that day...volunteeringly without much complaining and grumbling..hmm..something new yeahh.....

before we were able to taste his specially 3 hours soup and tom yam...we need to low sang ...a tradition for CNY...

Wei's 3 hours soup..keke...u think u forgot to put some salt laa wei....

Wei 's very recommended tom yam soup...too bad i am not into any spicy food during this pregnancy....or else i can leave some comments for him to improve yeahh....but any how no one complains on stomachache the following day..so i guess he pass this examination....keep up the good job yeah...think of something else next year...

After the very delicious meal at home, we went out for some friends gathering in one of the cafe in ipoh. We have not meet since Form 5..which means that we didnt meet for almost 10 years...much to keep in touch...of course everyone was very shock to learn that i was expecting my 3rd child...kekek...kinda express for them...well..this is the first time they met hubby tooo....:)

ON THE 4TH DAY OF CNY :

Wei has arrange for the lion dance on this day. Everyone of course was very excited that day. Upon arrival of the colourful lion dance troope, we were amaze by the liveliness and their professionalisme compare to those previous troope...

During night time, we went to the restaurant for our dinner. Our 2nd Low sang...keke..doesnt seem to get tired of it....

ON THE 5TH DAY OF CNY :

today marks the end of my cny celebration in ipoh. Its time to go back to Tampin. However, we were able to make it on time for the gan's family reunion dinner in melaka

The environment is ok, food is ok , 1st jie fu even brought his own fish for the chef to cook..the best part is that we were able to listen to some jay chou songs while eating...yeahhh....

ON THE 7TH DAY OF CNY :

We send hubby's friend to the airport as he is flying off to bali for his vacation. On our way back,we stop at Nilai 3 to buy the kids some presents as their bonus for being a not so naughty kids in 2008.

yes yess...we bought 2 go kart cars for the kids...red for MM and yellow for MW...

the kids happily drive around the car porch for almost 1 hour...

Time to charge the car batteries......keke..i am glad that they are happy with their new toys...

As CNY is approaching just around the corner, everyone at home is having the cny mood. Besides housekeeping and decorating the house, of course firecrackers is a must every year.

Almost everynight, the boys..hubby and mw will burn up a few firecrackers as a stimulation toward the CNY...

As usual, MW is the decider on which one to go first...

Day 7 - Blue Mountain, Sdyney

Today, our agenda was to the blue mountain. The journey from our hotel to the blue mountain was 1 hour 30 minutes. On the journey to the said location, we stop by at the mini zoo.

the the entrance of the mini zoo....we notice the zoo staff holding a wombat....a very very cute wombat...

wake uppppp wommy....wakee upp.....

the sleepy wombat ignores the screams of the 3 lil kids...

next, to the koalas...

a close encounter with the koala...its rather cute ...and smelly tooo....

this is a very special kangaroo...take note on the baby kangaroo at the pocket of this mummy kangaroo....

after this mini zoo, we proceed our journey to the blue mountain. we need to sit this funny type of tram down to the coal mine at the blue mountain...

all of us was soo curious on the funny looking seat of this tram...

then only we realize that the tram has to go down more than 50 degree slope...wow....really cool...

There was a brief introduction on the coal mine and also the working environment at the coal mine...

mw and mm at the 3 sisters mountain. we was told that the 3 sisters fell in love with 3 men from the neighbouring tribe, but marriage was forbidden by tribal law. Battle ensued, and the sisters were turned into stone by an elder to protect them but he was killed in the fighting and no one else can turn them back to human....

Day 8 - Sdyney - Singapore

today, we have to go back to singapore and this mark our last moment at sydney....the luggages and the boxes needed to be load at the back of the bus. the boxes contained fresh cherries and nougut choc....

being a season traveller, mw really knows wat to do during the journey back home....

our last-call shopping in singpore before we proceed back to malaysia....

Day 5 - Gold Coast - Sydney...

Today we have to travel by flight from brisbane to sydney. the journey took us about 2 - 3 hours. this time MM and MW were lucky to get the window seat.

upon arrival at sdyney, we went to chinatown which was situated near our hotel. it was just a 5 minutes walk.

Father in law was indeed shock on the major changes in sdyney...come on...40 years liao...of course everything changes except for the road names ahh....

As we walk to the darling harbour, we come across a very beautiful park. Hubby and the kids were playing on the stepping stone. luckily on one falls on the water.

DAY 6 - SYDNEY CITY TOUR

The next day, we went to the darling harbour again for our city tour.

the kids were very excited not because of the harbour...its because of their sunglassess.

Day 4 - Dream World, Gold Coast

Dreamworld was located next to the Warner Brothers. However, Dream World is abit special. It is a combination of theme park and wild life...

Our first ride was the train that goes around the park as an introduction and planning for us to where to go first.

As MW and MM were not eligible for most of the rides as they were too young, we went to the wild life park.

Day 3 - Warner Brothers Movie World, Gold Coast

Today, our agenda was to the warner brothers movie world the whole day. Unlike Disneyland, Movie World closed at 5pm. i was worried that we will need to rush here and there for those rides. The sun rises at 4 am daily...and sets at 7pm during summer time.

Took a picture from our hotel balcony. Our hotel was located near the beach and it was 5am in the morning now. The weather was abit similar to Genting but however its getting warmer and warmer by noon.

We even watch the Looney tunes live show " What's Up Rock".

Gan Family aussie trip - Day 1 & Day 2

Day 1 & Day 2 : Malaysia - Singapore - Perth - Brisbane

We started our journey to singapore early morning as our flight departed from singapore. well, our agenda of the day was to travel to singapore, take a flight to perth , transit at perth , continue flying to brisbane and finally to gold coast. therefore it took us almost 2 days to do it as most of the direct flight to brisbane was fully booked.

At changi airport...everyone was busy arranging the luggages.

Total big luggages = 9.

Vien thia took this opportunity to take some pictures with mw and joyce in the airport.

This was MW and MM virgin flight. at first i was very nervous but it turn out to be fine. MW and MM were very good and excited during the journey.

Arrive at Perth Airport after the 4 hours flight. The security was very very tight compare to those in London and United States. Our instant porriage for the kids was confiscated due to the egg content was more than 10%. besides that, the queue takes about 3 hours. This is crazy mann... no special privelege for pregnant woman , kids or even senior citizens...very very bad service. besides that we even stuck in the perth airport at 4 am waiting for the airport bus to take us from the perth international airport to perth domestic airport. Surprisingly, the driver charge us aussie 8 dollar per person!!!

Fortunately, we were able to get some help from the customer service manager to get us through the domestic airport without any charges as he said that its is suppose to be FOC if we have the flight tickets with us.

The security at perth domestic airport was equally tight as well.

We continued our journey to brisbane for another 4 hours flight. we flew from singapore at 7pm on wednesday and safely arrive at brisbane at 1pm thursday....pheeewwwww....wat a challenge for me to make sure that the kids behave themselves.

Finally brisbane here i come.

Upon arrival to Brisbane, we went to the factory outlet, the harbor city located in gold coast. the journey from brisbane to gold coast took us almost 1 hour 30 minutes and the driver charge us an additional 150 dollar as this was not in the itinerary. however, based on both of my sis in laws, it really worth it.

the only store they patronize was the Ralph Lauren boutique. No doubts that the price was much more cheaper compare to Malaysia and Singapore.

While waiting for them, we notice that santa was driving around the outlet. So Vien Xuan and MW went to him to make a christmas wish.

Our dinner of the day was at the Malaysian Seafood restaurant that was located next to our hotel. There were alot of Chinese restaurants around and we can even find some restaurants with the halal sign on it.

Our attraction towards the restaurant was the king crabs. however we have to cancel it coz it really cost alot. 1 crab cost about 650 dollar = RM1500...Cant afford to eat such an expensive crab..kekeke....

We sleep early that night to prepare ourselves to the Warner Brothers Movie World the next day...

He takes us back to the memory lane of sydney 40 years ago. He was there for his tertiary studies back then.

2nd sis in law, pheng - our part time tourist guide.

She is in charge of all our flight tickets, flight schedule and the daily schedule.She has done a very good job as we enjoy our trip very much and on time for our flights.

mother in law - our reminder.

She reminds us most of the time on looking after our kids, our travel documents and she even make sure that we wakes up 3 hours earlier every day....so that no one is late for any trip.

2nd jie fu is always busy taking our every move every day. He is also our part time camera man when hubby is busy with the kids.

There are alot of things need to be done by this week....:

1. Pre Christmas Celebration...

As we are only coming back from our trip on christmas night, i will have to the maid out to celebrate her pre-christmas celebration this weekend. hmm...where to go this weekend? maybe we will stroll along the portuguese settlement to view at their chistmas decoration, and have a nice meal with her. Just bought a watch for her as a christmas present.

2. Wash the Kids' Shoes...

Need to wash the kids' sports shoes and sandals especially mei mei's. Her shoes turn from pink to black...wat a transformation....

3. Lil Shopping

need to do some shopping before we depart for the trip. Maybe i need to buy some food for the kids and some of the necessary items such as anti nappy rash for mei mei , pampers , some medication, toys for them during the flight and the list goes on.....

4. Major packing for the Gan's family vacation

I will need to start packing the luggages this weekend as i do not want to left anything important behind. According to Father in law, it is suppose to be summer in Australia by now but the weather forecasted its below 22 c now...so i will have to pack our summer clothes with some jackets for the kids as well...really very confusing.

Balik Kampung...

We went back to ipoh last weekend as planned. As monday is a public holiday, we decided to go back on saturday after work at 1pm.on our way to kl to do some quick shopping, we notice that the opposite direction of the highway (from kl to the south) was very jammed..the queue started from nilai till tampin..wow....terrible traffic...luckily on our way back to ipoh the traffic is not that terrible.

we went to the mines...the kids are happy as i bought each of them a sunglasses..

Upon reaching ipoh, the traffic turn bad....however we manage to grab hubby's favourite food...the smelly tou fu....

this smelly tou foo was cook based on hong kong style...

the taiwan style..the difference...the hk uses cucumber and the taiwan uses cabbage....similarity..both also very smelly...

hubby cant wait till we reach home so he ate almost 3 packets of the smelly tou foo...

the next day, we went to the foh san restaurant to enjoy their famous tim sum...however we only manage to get seated after waited for almost 1 hour.

look at the crowd at this restaurant and the time is around 11am...this is not breakfast anymore..its brunch....

but it really worth it...

after our brunch...we went to the junk market whereby ppl are selling the 2nd hand items

after the market, wei wei is back with penang prawn mee...yummyyyy....just in time for my dinner ...:)

the next morning, our menu for brunch is the famous ipoh chicken bean sprout hor fun....yummy....

we also celebrated my birthday early as i am going to australia on my actual birthday...

Well, well...today's topic is about food...with this pregnancy going on, i cant help myself but to think about food almost every night before i go to sleep. Even though i only have a cup of maggi as my supper, it doesnt dampened my effort to nag hubby to get at least one of my favourite food the next morning or the weekend or the following week...:)

a "must-have" breakfast whenever we go back to ipoh...my favourite place is the Foh San Restaurant even though my lil bros always said that its mad to wait for a long queue just for the taste of a few dumplings...but hey it really worth it...

Luckily a bakery in tampin does sell this tasty portuguese tart...i had it almost once a week...this is also one of hubby's favourite too...its good that we share something in common ...:)

it taste good whenever there is a rendang chicken or curry chicken with it...cant get bored over it...we had it almost twice a week even though i dont mind having it as a breakfast every morning but its not healthy...:)

ohhh..how i miss this very much...one of the famous food in ipoh...also one of my "must-have" lunch in ipoh...we cant get elsewhere the fatty brean spout and the tasty chicken except in ipoh...

Been craving on this food almost years ago even if i'm not preggy....only the best available in penang and i hardly goes to penang....argggg......

We brought the kids to Singapore last week to watch the Disney live three classic fairy tales with their cousins joyce, vien thia, vien xuan and even lil vien jin...this three classic fairy tales begin with mickey, minnie, donalD and goofy finding a magical storybook hidden in mickey's attic. As the four turn the pages, iconic moments magically comes alive to create an unforgettable experience for the kids and parents...well.. the kids of course enjoy it very much as well as me...:)

Since its school holiday, we had organized a trip to genting with some friends and their children...the kids of course very excited when they saw me packing the bags...

MM is soo attached to her "baby" that she insisted to bring her " baby" along... she is trying to pat her "baby" to sleep and even put on a blanket on the "baby".

On the other hand, mw's bolster is a must for every trip coz he is unable to sleep without it...

We went to this trip with the yap family and his 2 boys...

and ah soon's family and his 3 girls...

" Wahhhhhh" is the only words for MM that day....

During the night time, we went to see the magical show on Dreamz...hmm...for white tiger and bengal tiger..its rather common as we can see them at the zoo...but white lion.....? Anyhow, the kids really enjoy the show very much...

The next morning we wake up rather early coz its a theme park day....we have our stomach filled fully before we proceed to the indoor theme park...

Excited MW cant eat well that morning as he was too excited to play....

A tribute to the kids' pets

MW and MM used to have alot of pets ...however...all of them does not turn out the way we wanted....

Mini tomatoes project - FAILED.

Duration of life : 3 months

Reason : Not because of lack of water and sunlight....therefore reason UNKNOWN.

Rabbit pet : MISSING

Duration in the care of MW AND MM : less than 1 month
Reason : Rabbit run away from home.

Chickies Pet : DEAD
Duration in the care of MW AND MM : less than 1 month
Reason : drown in the drain for trying to avoid being eaten by grandma dogs

Duckies Pet : DEAD

Duration in the care of MW AND MM :

Duckie 1 : less than 1 week

Duckie 2 : about 2 months - 3 months

Reason :

Duckie 1 : sickness

Duckie 2 : Being slaughtered by grandpa and cook by grandma.

Conclusion and lesson learn : MW and MM are still young to care for pets. Pity for all the pets tat has been sacrifice...therefore no more pets for now until they reach primary school.

MW has to perform at his school graduation ceremony...even though he is only 3 years old, he has to perform 2 dances...we were abit worried at first as he did not attend any classes or rehearsals that week due to food poisoning....

We took the kids to KL this weekend. Despite of being a westin hotel fan, hubby convince me to try on this crowne plaza hotel that was situated opposite the pavillion shopping mall...well...he was right...its cool there...

Not only that the hotel has a good view and a LRT station nearby, it also has a see-through bathroom...the kids love it soo much that they can watch the tv while swimming inthe bath tub...cool yeahhhh...

something special this time...instead of driving to our next destination..time square...we took the monorail...it was our virgin ride on the monorail....well...we dont have to worry bout traffic jam and parking coz the journey from the hotel to times square is just merely 5 minutes....

After a few session, our next F1 Driver...MW Gan....wow....impress...a very fast learner he is....

While MW was having is driving lesson, hubby took MM for the Buddy go Round....
Finally, we end up playing for almost 4 hours in the theme park...we have to cancel our italian dinner reservation in order for the kids to have more time in the theme park...

the next day, hubby manage to get a place at the sheraton hotel for our tim sum buffet lunch despite of them informing us that it was fully book that day....

hmmmm......wat to order ???

overall, the kids enjoy their trip to kl this time.......

We went to Mahkota Parade today to watch one of my niece, vien thia performing her ballet dance. All of us were there to show our moral support to her ...

Even cutie vien jin was here too to support her elder sister.

After the show, we went for our dinner at the Seoul Garden restaurant. It was a korean Steamboat and BBQ buffet...

MW waited patiently for hubby to cook his meal...

Our man of the house ... he makes sure that all of us are well fed all the time....and he dont mind to do all the cooking....

MM waited for her desert...ICE CREAM.......yummyyyyy...

As their health does not permit them to eat too much of ice cream, they will have to share 1 bowl... MW being the eldest ...ate first....

Luckily he does not forget to feed MM ......

Overall, we do enjoy our weekend in Melaka....

Hubby's Birthday...

Hubby's 3Xth birthday falls the following day after wei's wedding. we celebrated his birthday at ipoh...this special year he receives 2 cakes....

one from mother in law and the other from mom...lucky himm..

bought a special present for him.....even wai decorate the present with mr. happy

Finally after so many months of preparation, the day has come.....

The Buffet's team is setting up the foods ,tables and chairss..

Wei decided to have his hands on the car deco .....as he stress on "personal touch" on every important event of his life that day and the day after....

its good to have hubby and lee meng around to help wei ........thanks alot guys

the bachelor's nite ends well....no dunken visitor, most of the groom's friends are here, sufficient food and drinks and beer too...and most importantly, the groom is able to sleep early that day to prepare himself for the big day the next day....

Attended One of my uni best friend's wedding 2 weeks ago.....Congratulation to the new couple, Sze Yin and Sunny...even though its my first time meeting her hubby, but i can really tell that they are the perfect match for each other...thanks to the photographers as well for treating MW and especially MM like superstars....kekeke..here are a few photos taken that particular day...extracted from sze yin...:)

Rainy Mid Autumn Festival

This year we had a dissappointing mid autumn festival as it was raining the whole day. MW and MM waited anxiously for the night fall to play with their lanterns but was dissappointed by the weather.

Mid-Autum Festival in School

The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is a popular Asia tradition of Chinese origin,dating back over 3,000 years to moon worship in China's Shang Dynasty.It is also sometimes referred to as the Lantern Festival or Mooncake Festival. The Chinese Lantern Festival is held on the 15 day of the first lunar month.

The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar monthof the Chinese Calender(usually around mid- or late-September ), a date that parallels the Autumn and Spring Equinoxes of the solar calendar. The traditional food of this festival is the mooncake, of which there are many different varieties.

Traditionally, on this day, Chinese family members and friends will gather to admire the bright mid-autumn harvest moon, and eat moon cakes and pomeloes together. Accompanying the celebration, there are additional cultural or regional customs, such as:
Eating moon cakes outside under the moon
Putting pomelo rinds on one's head
Carrying brightly lit lanterns, lighting lanterns on towers, floating sky lanterns
Burning incense in reverence to deities including Chang'e(simplified Chinese: 嫦娥; traditional Chinese: 嫦娥; pinyin: cháng'é)
Planting Mid-Autumn trees
Collecting dandelion leaves and distributing them evenly among family members
Fire Dragon Dances
Shops selling mooncakes, before the festival, often display pictures of Chang'e floating to the moon.

therefore, this year, MW's school has organized a mid-autumn festivals....MW and MM were happily enjoy this festival in the school

MW was having a great dilemma....to choose the modern battery-operated ultraman aeroplane lantern or to play with the tranditional candle mickey mouse lantern...

Finally he has made up his mind....the candle mickey mouse lantern...mei mei too chooses a candle princess lantern

we walk around the neighbourhood with his friends and parents...

MW was guided by one of his teacher...

MM on the other hand...was happily join in the crowd...

MM 2nd Birthday...

Finally, my lil princess MM is now 2 years old. Prior to her birthday, we went to toy"r"toy store for shopping spree...this is the time of the year whereby mm can choose unlimited toys she wans..of course MW can choose his too..but limit for 1 only.

they insisted to carry their own toys...my goodness...even the shopping bags are bigger than them...

mei mei's special cake....i'm glad that she loves it ..especially the birthday candles..

MW is helping MM to blow all the candles...keke...that is wat a big brother for ...right??

Peedee Jetski attempt no 1...

Our agenda for last weekend was to go to peedee for water sports....to try out hubby's jetski...

everyone was so excited that day as this was the first time we tried the jetski that was parked at the garage for more than 6 months....

we towed the jetski all the way from tampin to our newly bought condo in peedee...

as the condo doesnt have any ram , we had no choice but to push the cart using manpower to the sea.....

ohh noooooooo........something's wrong with the jetski....it doesnt run well as we expected...so our main purpose to peedee....FAILED.... however, the contingency plan was to the swimming pool...

this is the adult pool...looks special compare to afarmosa...but the baby pool.......
is kinda very very small...........to cheer up the kids, hubby has to be a human jaccuzi....and the kids were enjoying it very very much....
besides that, hubby also try out the crab catching experiment.....even though he did not catch any crabs that day....i am sure that he will not give up and will try it again the next time....at a different location and using different bait.....

everyone was having a great time .......Thank you very much to hubby for cheering me up by organizing this trip....
